The World of Mobile phones Infographic of the Day: the world of mobile phones

In the wake of digital Darwinism — a time when technology evolves faster than the average human being — you stop and think, “Am I the only one who can’t keep up?”

New tech = New Info.

It’s just waayyyyy too much!

Consider the mobile phone, which at some point in time, we controlled, so to speak.

We used it to answer, dial or text: done!

Now, we have “smartphones”; ultimately implying that our gadgets have evolved faster than the human mind.

We believe our smartphones make us smarter — full stop.

According to the International Telecommunication Union 87% of the world’s population carry a mobile phone.

That’s six billion activated mobile phones dialing, ringing, texting….sexting: hopefully not; but, I digress.

Moving forward.

In the ITU report, the accelerated growth of mobile subscriptions stems from the high demand in cell phones seen in developing countries China and India: two of the world’s most populous countries.

According to Daily Infographic below, 70% of all the world’s mobile phones come from China. In India, we see statistics which point to a disorganization problem, so to speak; seeing 53% of its adult population reporting to have had their mobile phone either stolen or misplaced — that’s almost double of the people worldwide.
